Course Description

Seaside layout offering panoramic views of the Genkai Sea

Nijo Country Club opened on October 10, 1974, and was designed by Yaji Akahoshi. It features 18 holes, par 72, and spans 6,615 yards as a seaside layout offering panoramic views of the Genkai Sea from every hole. The outward course is relatively flat, while the inward course is more strategic and includes thrilling carries over ravines and water. Hole 10 (Par 4, around 371 yards) is a signature hole known for its exceptional views. With a course rating of 71.3–71.4, it presents a moderately high level of challenge, appealing to golfers looking for strategic play.

Practice facilities include a 150-yard driving range with 12–15 bays, approach and bunker areas, and comfortable self-play with five-seater electric carts (on-course access allowed). There are no caddies available.

The clubhouse was fully rebuilt in October 2023, featuring a single-story, panoramic restaurant overlooking the sea, luggage storage space, and translation display units to accommodate international guests. After golf, players can relax in the spacious communal bath. While there is no on-site accommodation, the club provides access to partnered hotels.

Lunch highlights include the local specialty sea bream tea over rice and grilled beef sirloin steak (lunch priced ¥1,100–2,000), and breakfast options are available for ¥500–1,000.
