| GOLF HOLIDAYS |
Golf courses around Mount Fuji offer spectacular views of the iconic peak, with many renowned courses spread across Shizuoka and Yamanashi Prefectures. Courses that provide a direct view of Mount Fuji or allow players to see the mountain across the fairway are especially popular. The region features numerous courses arranged almost in a full circle around the mountain, broadly divided into the southern area (Gotemba, Oyama, Mishima, Numazu, Shimizu) and the northern area (Kawaguchiko, Yamanakako, Fujinomiya). These courses are known for their sweeping Fuji views, their cool highland climate that makes summer play comfortable, and the unique challenge of reading greens influenced by the mountain’s natural “grain.” The area is also ideal for combining golf with hot springs and resort stays. Because April–May and October–November are peak seasons and tend to be crowded, planning your trip at least three months in advance is recommended.
