The course features a distinctive design with unique holes
Takeo Country Club, established in 1965 and later renamed “Takeo Golf Club” in 2015, is a scenic 18-hole championship course nestled in the hills of Saga Prefecture. Located just a short drive from both Takeo-Kitagata and Ureshino interchanges, it offers convenient access and a peaceful natural setting.
The course stretches approximately 6,713 yards from the back tees (6,325 yards from the regular tees) and is designed with a mix of downhill holes, water hazards, and strategic doglegs. Its layout challenges players of all levels to use both power and precision. Holes like the downhill 4th, the water-carry Par 3 3rd, and the signature S-curve holes on the back nine provide variety and excitement.
Among them, Hole 11 is especially challenging—an incorrect strategy can easily lead to a high score. Thanks to course renovations, steep slopes have been moderated, making the course more player-friendly and enjoyable to navigate.
The course is praised for its strategic design and excellent maintenance, offering smooth greens and well-kept fairways year-round.
