A majestic 27-hole course set within a forest of Todo fir trees
Conveniently located midway between New Chitose Airport (approx. 35 minutes by car) and central Sapporo (approx. 40 minutes), Clark Country Club is a 27‑hole championship course established in 1973 and designed by Akira Hotchi. Its sister course is the renowned Tsukisappu Golf Club, designed by Kokichi Yasuda.
Although the course was developed on hilly terrain, it was carved through a natural forest of Todo fir trees, giving it the atmosphere of a true forest course. While there are no dramatic elevation changes, gentle undulations throughout the layout create subtle variations in ball lies, requiring thoughtful and strategic shot‑making. The East, Central, and West courses each offer a grand sense of scale, combining both offensive and defensive elements that challenge golfers of all levels.
Clark Country Club is best known for its expansive holes framed by towering Todo fir forests.
Among them, the long hole featuring natural fairway contours and beautifully harmonized woodland scenery is widely regarded by players as the club’s signature experience.
The course is frequently selected for competitive amateur events and corporate tournaments, appreciated for its strategic design and balanced difficulty.
Two‑seater riding carts are permitted on the fairways all day, even in rainy conditions, ensuring a comfortable and smooth round. Both caddied and self‑play rounds allow cart access onto the course. Safe driving is kindly requested.
The clubhouse restaurant offers a selection of popular dishes perfect after a round of golf, including:
-- Special Curry Rice
-- Japanese set meals featuring local Hokkaido ingredients
-- Seasonal chef’s recommendations
Please note that the starting course may change depending on course conditions or pace of play. Please check with the starter’s office upon arrival.
