A long and wide championship course framed by Mount Tarumae and the Pacific Ocean
Tarumae Country Club offers an authentic Hokkaido golf experience, combining championship-caliber golf with breathtaking natural scenery. Surrounded by panoramic views of Mount Tarumae and the Pacific Ocean, the club features 27 holes divided into three distinctive courses: South, Central, and North.
Known for its wide fairways, relatively flat terrain, and spacious championship-style layout, the course showcases the grand scale and beauty that make golf in Hokkaido unique. Each nine-hole course has its own character, providing enjoyable and varied challenges for golfers of all skill levels, including seniors and women.
South Course
Offers spectacular views of Mount Tarumae and the Pacific Ocean, delivering a classic and scenic Hokkaido golf experience.
Central Course
The longest and most demanding of the three courses, featuring a strategic championship layout that has challenged top professional players.
North Course
A picturesque design incorporating water hazards and tree-lined fairways, creating a more technical and varied round.
Tarumae Country Club earned national recognition as the host venue of the 2007 Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship. The tournament was contested on the South and Central Courses, where Shinobu Moromizato claimed her first major title.
A standout hole is the 3rd hole on the Central Course, a challenging par 5 that perfectly embodies the club’s championship character. Its expansive layout and strategic design allow golfers to experience the full scale and beauty of the course.
The clubhouse restaurant serves a selection of Japanese favorites and local Hokkaido specialties. After the round, golfers can enjoy a satisfying meal while taking in the peaceful natural surroundings.
With its championship pedigree, spectacular landscapes, and diverse course design, Tarumae Country Club is one of Hokkaido’s premier golf destinations.
